The EMF Invite got underway after an hour and a half lightning delay, and the Bobcats stormed out of the gates, leading Sutton by six strokes after nine. But Sutton came from behind on the back nine for a convincing 13-shot win. EMF finished in second. In the individual competition, Mia Hiebner had a hot start with 39 on the front and followed it up with a 42 on the back, cruising to an 8-shot victory on a windy day in Friend. EMF's Abbie Milton and Sutton's Laurel Moore finished in the other two podium spots.
Head coach Lori Klooz said, "Abbie Milton had a solid day with a 43-46=89 to lead the team. Abby Klooz had a strong front nine and shot 44-52=96 for 6th place. Kmila Benitez had her best round of the year with a 49-51=100 to claim the 10th place medal. I am proud of this group of girls who keep working hard to get better and finished runner-up at our home invite. "
